The Women Who Inspire Me - Aarushi Kapoor
Towards the end of February, as we approached Women’s Month in March, my team and I decided to honor this time by each writing about a woman who inspires us. It seemed like a simple task at first — just choose one woman whose story, impact, or strength had left an impression on me.
But the more I thought about it, the harder the task became.
There were so many women to write about — women I know personally, women I’ve read about, women I learned about in school. How could I choose just one? Should I write about the women in my life — mentors, colleagues, friends, family — whose wisdom and resilience have shaped me? Or should I focus on the trailblazers in history, the pioneers who shattered ceilings and defied expectations?
The truth is, this was an impossible choice.
Because the beauty of women — their strength, their impact, their presence — is not confined to just one story.
Women inspire in endless ways. Some lead countries and corporations, making decisions that shape the world. Some dedicate their lives to raising families, ensuring the next generation has a foundation of love, support, and guidance. Some fight for justice, lending their voices to movements that change history. Others create, innovate, and push boundaries in science, art, and business. And some simply show up, day after day, holding things together in ways that often go unnoticed but never unappreciated.
No matter the path they take, women demonstrate resilience, compassion, and quiet (or loud) determination. They navigate expectations, break through barriers, and redefine what is possible.
So instead of choosing just one woman, I choose to celebrate them all.
This Women’s Month, I honor every woman who is forging her own way — whether she is leading board meetings, teaching in classrooms, caring for loved ones, building businesses, or simply finding the courage to step into her own power. Because every woman, in her own way, is shaping the world.
And that is worth celebrating — not just in March, but every single day.
