Diversity Deb — What Does She Stand for? - Deborah Augustine Elam
“Being excellent. Surround yourself with people who demand excellence. And ensuring that everyone has equal opportunity to be excellent.”
It was once said that the difference between mediocrity and excellence is often a matter of effort. But the effort needs to be guided, strategic, purposeful, and intentional. And this is what I seek to accomplish as “Diversity Deb.” As a motivational and educational speaker, I advocate for Diversity, Inclusion, and Leadership.
How can we best push businesses to their highest success? Working in Corporate America these past 30 years, I have seen that possessing deep knowledge and building relevant skill-sets is only part of the equation. You also need to ensure an equal and inclusive environment. These are the keys to the corporate playbook. Every employee needs to feel represented, that they can unapologetically voice their opinions and that they are encouraged to reach their highest personal potential.
