We recently surveyed hundreds of individuals aged 18–54 to learn their upcoming Valentine’s Day plans and trends they’re gravitating towards, and results indicated that:
- 73% of shoppers plan to purchase gifts for their significant other/spouse followed by 36% of shoppers who will purchase gifts for their children
- 37% of shoppers begin to shop for their Valentine’s Day gifts and décor 2–3 weeks leading up to the holiday, while 36% of shoppers will make purchases during the week leading up to Valentine’s Day
- 33% of shoppers plan to spend $75.00 or more on Valentine’s Day gifts
- And my favorite finding was that 55% of those surveyed would rather receive a dozen balloons instead of a dozen roses this Valentine’s Day
